Get matched →Kaaysá is an independent art residency for multidisciplinary artists, dancers, writers, and creators from around the world, located in Boiçucanga beach, São Sebastião, 160 km from São Paulo city, at the heart of the Brazilian Atlantic forest coast. Founded in October 2017, Kaaysá has hosted over 700 Brazilian and international artists and over 40 renowned curators and cultural agents. The residency welcomes visual artists, photographers, curators, architects, musicians, writers, designers, researchers, philosophers, scientists, dancers, filmmakers, and other cultural agents.
Artists can choose between 2 weeks up to 6 months. The current open call is for residencies up to 3 months; contact the organization for 1–2 month stays.
Kaaysá is located on 4,000 square meters with 25 private rooms (single or double occupancy). All accommodations include private bathroom and balcony. Studios include a large visual arts studio with big tables and walls, professional dance studio with wooden floating floor, acrobatic tools (aerial hoop/lyra, acrobatic fabric), musical instruments, wood machinery, ceramic wheel, sewing machine, projectors, sound system, and gym tools.
