Echoes of Valor is Artspiration Frederick's first Veteran Art Exhibition, celebrating the creative voices, lived experiences, and artistic excellence of military veterans, military families, and those exploring themes of military service. The exhibition seeks to showcase a diverse range of artistic voices, perspectives, techniques, and subject matter.

  • Submission deadline: October 11, 2026, 11:59 PM EST
  • Juror notification: Week of October 19, 2026
  • Drop-off for accepted works: October 26-27, 2026, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Shipped works must arrive by: October 26, 2026
  • Exhibition dates: November 7-29, 2026
  • Artists Reception: November 14, 2026, 3:00-5:00 PM
  • Pick-up after exhibition: November 30 & December 1, 2026, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • U.S. Military Veteran (all branches), Active Duty/Reserve/National Guard, Military Family Member, or Civilian artist creating work addressing military or veteran themes
  • 18 years or older
  • Must reside in continental US
  • Work must be original and exhibition-ready
  • All entries must be for sale
  • Submit 1-3 high-resolution images (300 dpi) online through CallForEntry.org
  • Up to 3 works may be submitted; up to 3 may be selected
  • 2D works must be properly framed with wire hanging (no sawtooth hangers)
  • Artwork must have a label securely attached with artist name, title, and price

A nonrefundable $35 entry fee is required at the time of application. All entries must be completed online through CallForEntry.org by the deadline.

  • Drop-off or ship by October 26, 2026
  • Pick-up: November 30 & December 1, 2026, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Use properly labeled boxes/crates/bins; no packing peanuts

Juried by Veteran/artist Cynthia Scott-Johnson and Russ Hodge, owners of Gaslight Gallery in Downtown Frederick, MD and Three Roads Communications.

Open to U.S. Military Veterans, Active Duty/Reserve/National Guard, Military Family Members, or civilian artists creating work addressing military or veteran themes; must be 18+, reside in continental US, and submit original, exhibition-ready work for sale.
