This exhibition explores animals across contemporary artistic practices, from wildlife, domestic animals, birds, marine life, and insects to symbolic creatures, imagined species, expressive representations, abstraction, and conceptual interpretations of the animal world. Selected artists will present their work in a curated international online group exhibition hosted on the No. 35 Gallery website, supported by curatorial presentation and promotion through the gallery’s platforms.
Artists are invited to submit works inspired by, responding to, or engaging with animals in their many forms, including wild animals, domestic pets, farm animals, birds, fish, marine creatures, reptiles, amphibians, insects, endangered species, mythical creatures, and imagined animal forms. Submissions may explore animal behaviour, movement, anatomy, habitats, human–animal relationships, ecological concerns, cultural symbolism, emotional connections, and the representation of animals in personal and collective narratives. The theme is intentionally broad and welcomes a wide range of approaches, including traditional animal portraiture, wildlife art, realism, expressionism, abstraction, symbolism, surrealism, experimental image-making, environmental perspectives, personal narratives, conceptual approaches, and contemporary interpretations of animal life.
