The New England Mosaic Society invites all members to submit work to "Piecework for Peace Work," a contemporary mosaic exhibition. This is a non-juried show, so all eligible submissions are guaranteed at least one accepted piece.

  • Applications: Wednesday, April 1, 2026 through Tuesday, May 28, 2026 at 8:00 PM EST
  • Acceptance notification: Monday, June 2, 2026
  • Exhibition: Monday, June 22 through Wednesday, July 22, 2026
  • Reception: Sunday, June 28, 2026, 12:00 PM–3:00 PM EST
  • Delivery deadline: June 17, 2026
  • Pick-up available: After June 23, 2026

Open to members of The New England Mosaic Society with 2026 membership dues paid.

"Piecework for Peace Work" invites exploration of peace as something created through patience, repair, care, and collective effort. Welcome themes include reconciliation, refuge, community, environmental healing, or the everyday labor of peacemaking. Approaches should foreground process: visible seams, intentional breaks, reclaimed fragments, collaborative contributions, or rhythmic patterning that suggests practice over perfection.

  • 2-D work: width cannot exceed 30", length up to 36"
  • 3-D work: must not exceed 60 lbs; 10 pedestals available
  • Previously exhibited mosaics accepted if they pertain to the theme
  • Entries accepted digitally only
  • Up to 3 mosaic works per artist
  • Application fee: $25 for 1st, $15 for 2nd, $10 for 3rd
  • All accepted work must arrive by June 17, 2026; mail or in-person drop-off accepted
  • Gallery commission: 40% (artist receives 60%)
  • Gallery is staffed 7 days/week and will handle sales, pickup, and shipping
  • Artist payment by check within 2 weeks of exhibition closing
  • Pick-up available after June 23, 2026
