The 4-year conceptual funding contribution supports independent dance and theater professionals in Zurich.

Next Submission Deadline

Currently, no applications can be submitted. The next deadline is expected to be in June 2028. The exact date will be announced in due course.

Funding Amount

The requested funding amount depends on the services and expenses described in the concept.

Formal Criteria

• Professionalism: The Department of Culture exclusively supports professional cultural creation in the fields of performing arts, film culture, literature, music, and visual arts.
• Connection to the City of Zurich: The application must have a connection to the City of Zurich.
• Electronic Application Submission: Applications are only accepted in electronic form.
• Language: The application and necessary documents can be submitted in German or English. The application process is conducted in German.
• Complete and Timely: The application must be submitted completely and on time.

Exclusion Criteria

• Are simultaneously receiving a contribution for the same purpose from a Zurich co-production institution (Gessnerallee, Tanzhaus, Fabriktheater Rote Fabrik or Zürcher Theaterspektakel).
• Are simultaneously being supported by the Department of Culture with a production contribution or a contribution for the development of groups in the field of performing arts for children and young people for the same purpose.
• Are simultaneously receiving other funding from the City of Zurich (e.g. Social Department) for the same purpose.
• Primarily work profit-oriented.
