Get matched →Arts in Rural Places Grants support rural, isolated, and small communities with expedited grants of up to $3,000 for arts engagement projects. Open to organizations in South Arts' nine-state region (AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, or TN), the program supports projects featuring Southern artists with at least two in-person or live, virtual public activities.
Grants provide artist fee support of up to $3,000 on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must provide a dollar-for-dollar cash match (for example, $3,000 request requires $3,000 in matching funds for a $6,000 artist fee). All funding is contingent on availability.

Projects must include at least two public-facing activities: a public presentation (film screening, performance, reading, or exhibition) and an educational/community engagement activity (workshop, demonstration, lecture, facilitated discussion, or master class).
