1 % artistique – Conception, réalisation et installation d’une œuvre d’art – Nouveau collège de Groisy

Overview

The Haute-Savoie Department is launching a call for proposals under the 1% Artistique scheme for the construction of a new secondary school in Groisy and restructuring of the Parmelan secondary school. Individual artist-authors and interdisciplinary teams may apply. Up to five finalists will be selected to develop a project.

Budget

• Total envelope: 342,000 EUR HT (including conception, fabrication, materials, transport, installation, technical services, author rights, and finalist indemnities)
• Finalist indemnity: 2,500 EUR HT per finalist submitting a compliant proposal (may be reduced or removed if the proposal is manifestly insufficient)

Eligibility

Professional artist-authors or interdisciplinary teams with artist-author competency; no geographic residency requirement; no age limit.

First-phase requirements

• Cover letter and required administrative materials
• Proof of professional status as artist-author or equivalent foreign credential
• CV and information on team members' professional capacity
• Portfolio of artistic references (recent and older work)
• PowerPoint with 5–10 references minimum/maximum
• 3 images per reference within the provided frame
• Artistic intent statement: maximum 2 pages A4 (exceeding this limit results in scoring penalty)
• Electronic submission only (no hard copy)

Selection criteria

• 50% artistic work quality
• 30% motivation/relevance to the commission
• 20% alignment of references with the context
