Overview

Located in Denver's RiNo Art District, Studios on Blake offers dedicated, affordable workspace for working artists within the Backyard on Blake creative campus. These private studios support and sustain artists in one of the city's fastest-evolving cultural districts, ensuring creative production remains central to RiNo's identity. A limited number of subsidized studios are available through support from the RiNo Business Improvement District (BID).

Studio Features

Each studio features high ceilings, natural light, and the character of RiNo's industrial architecture. Studios on Blake is best suited for painters, illustrators, and mixed-media artists seeking clean, professional workspace. Due to building limitations, studios are not equipped for heavy fabrication or processes requiring specialized ventilation or equipment.

• Heating, A/C, and all utilities included
• Shared kitchen (fridge/microwave), utility sink, and garbage/recycling dumpsters
• Community events and networking through RiNo Art District, including First Friday Open Houses
• Parking available in adjacent lot via Parkwell (paid) or free street parking around Backyard on Blake

Lease Terms

• Size: Approximately 200 sq. ft.
• Rent: $650/month + $650 security deposit
• Payment: Check or online tenant portal
• Terms: Month-to-month with 30 days' notice
• Insurance: Tenants must carry liability insurance (details in lease contract)

Community Engagement

While primarily a working studio environment, Studios on Blake plays a role in connecting artists with the broader community. The studios periodically open to the public during district-wide events like First Fridays, offering opportunities for visitors to engage directly with artists and experience work in progress.
