National Gallery Singapore: TikTok Creative Residency Open Call Organizer Information National Gallery Singapore is a leading visual arts museum overseeing the world’s largest public collection of Singapore and Southeast Asian modern art. Located in Singapore’s Civic District, the Gallery occupies the historic City Hall and former Supreme Court buildings, which have been restored into a 64,000-square-metre visual arts venue. Its mission includes creating dialogue between Singaporean, Southeast Asian and global art through exhibitions, research, education and innovative programming. Title & Description TikTok Creative Residency TikTok Creative Residency is a four-month paid creative residency for a social-media-native creator interested in experimenting with new ways of telling stories about art, culture and museum experiences. The selected Resident TikToker will create engaging content around National Gallery Singapore’s exhibitions, events and behind-the-scenes activities. The residency will provide access to the Gallery’s activities and creative environment, allowing the resident to experiment with storytelling and develop their creative practice. Content will include stories connected to the year-end exhibition Pop after Pop: Art around Us, Light to Night Singapore 2027, and other Gallery projects. Categories Digital Art & Media Video Content Creation Social Media Filmmaking Storytelling Visual Communication Eligibility The opportunity is open to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) based in Singapore. Applicants do not need to have an established TikTok account or a large following, and an arts background is not required. The Gallery is interested in creators who are curious, culturally engaged, have a distinctive point of view and can tell engaging stories for social-media audiences. Filmmakers, designers, comedians, videographers and creators from other disciplines are welcome to apply. Program Benefits & Awards The selected resident will receive a stipend of S$3,000 per month for the four-month programme. The residency also provides access to the Gallery’s exhibitions, activities and selected behind-the-scenes work, alongside opportunities for creative experimentation and exchange with the institution. The programme is designed to help the resident develop their storytelling practice while building experience creating cultural content in collaboration with a major visual-arts institution.
