Independent curatorial project based in NYC seeking a freelance web designer to build a polished, visually compelling website using Squarespace. The designer will organize existing content, develop a cohesive website design, and build a site that is easy to update independently after launch.

Who we're looking for

• Experience building websites on Squarespace
• Strong visual and editorial eye with great taste
• Interest in art, galleries, fashion, design, or cultural projects
• Ability to create a distinctive, mobile-friendly website
• Clear communication skills

Candidate profile

Open to working with students, recent graduates, and emerging designers looking to grow their portfolios, as well as experienced designers open to reduced arts-focused rates.

Compensation

Because this is a small, early-stage arts project with limited resources, standard senior-level agency or established designer rates cannot be accommodated. Open to discussing a combination of modest payment, barter, portfolio credit, artwork, event access, referrals, or future creative opportunities.
