The city of Questembert is seeking a professional visual artist or art student, either individual or collective, to create a participatory artistic installation in the city center for the 2027 season, integrating residents into the project through exchange and sharing.

Get matched →Since 2023, the municipality of Questembert has annually invited an artist to engage with the city, aiming to facilitate dialogue between contemporary creation and the local population. Following the success of four previous editions, the city is renewing this initiative for a participatory artistic installation to take place in the city center during the season. Candidates are tasked with integrating residents into their project through a dynamic of exchange and sharing.
One or more residency periods will be held in May/June 2027 to allow the artist to meet the residents of Questembert. Several locations have been identified to host the project, each with specific usage constraints. The artistic project must primarily be situated in the Halles district (around and/or within the Halles).
The city of Questembert will pay the artist a maximum of 8,500 € for the entire project. Accommodation may be provided during the residency period, depending on the number of artists and the schedule. A workspace can also be made available for the creation of the artwork. Technical, material, and human resources may also be provided as needed.
This call for projects is open to professional visual artists, individuals or collectives, and art students.
