About the residency
This research-focused residency differs from typical production residencies in its extended timeframe (minimum three weeks, optional four) to allow for slowed-down investigation and listening to the place. The goal is to create a period of presence in the territory exploring the relationship between nature, history, identity, and culture of the territory.
Research methodology
Research may use any methodology and medium of your choice—anthropological, historical, experiential, speculative, etc. Outputs may include written or oral text, photography, drawing, craft, food, sound, movement, and more. You are invited to explain your approach in your motivation letter.
Public presentation
Selected artists will present their research during a public event on November 27–28, 2026.
