Theme

Everything breaks down and decays—sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly, often so gradually that change goes unnoticed. The images in this exhibition are filled with associations of destruction, death, and decay, drawing on the traditional 'vanitas' concept where symbols like skulls, clocks, hourglasses, and rotting fruit remind us of mortality and the temporary nature of existence. These intriguing, bleak images paradoxically evoke a genuine sense of beauty.
