The artist will work within a historic site combining artisanal production, preservation of papermaking and graphic arts traditions, and cultural activities, receiving access to traditional papermaking techniques, printing equipment, and expert knowledge.
Le Moulin du Got is a 15th-century mill operated by the municipality of Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat through an association. It functions as a site of artisanal production, a conservatory of papermaking and graphic arts heritage, and a center for cultural, artistic, and educational activities. Papermakers and printers work using traditional techniques including hand-made paper, typography, and art embossing, producing over one ton of art paper annually. The site welcomes 15,000–17,000 visitors yearly for tours, workshops, and exhibitions.
Open to francophone artists and graphic designers.
Artists may continue work-in-progress involving paper or printing, or develop new projects using available traditional techniques. The residency should not be an extension of an editorial project.
