A contemporary stained glass window (vitrail) is being commissioned for bay No. 33 of the Cathédrale Saint-Étienne de Bourges, a UNESCO World Heritage site classified as a historic monument. The Commission
Surface to be created: approximately 9 m² (2m × 5m). Traditional stained glass technique is required, using flat, translucent glass (colorless, colored in the mass, or painted) assembled by lead came soldering. Technical alternatives may be considered. Figurative writing is preferred for clarity, but symbolic or abstract vocabulary may be integrated. The work must integrate well with its architectural and stained glass environment.
Budget & Timeline

- Scaffolding costs not included; doubling option not included
- Submission deadline: Thursday, 1 October at 11:00
Eligibility & Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate professional experience in plastic creation in monumental contexts. A single candidate may submit multiple proposals through different consortiums.
