FY27 Individual Artist Fellowship in Music

This is an announcement of an award already given to Timbre Cierpke for the FY27 Individual Artist Fellowship in Music from the Tennessee Arts Commission. This is not an open call for applications.

Cierpke is a composer, harpist, singer, and conductor based in Nashville. Her fellowship-winning submissions were two a cappella choral works: "Dum Spiro, Spero" and "Mother God," both written for SONUS, the semi-professional choir she founded in 2014. She has performed with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra and the Two Rivers Symphony Orchestra, and records under the name "Timbre."

Applications for grants are completed and submitted on the Commission's online grants system. Commission staff is available year-round to assist with the application process and provide feedback on draft proposals in advance of deadlines.
