Position Overview
Konsthall C is seeking an Artistic Director for a three-year artistic leadership period beginning April 1, 2027. The Artistic Director will develop and lead the institution's artistic program for 2027–2029, establishing direction and themes; developing exhibitions and interdisciplinary projects; overseeing exhibition production; contributing to budgeting and project management; participating in institution-building; building national and international networks; and representing Konsthall C within the contemporary art field.

About Konsthall C
Konsthall C is a contemporary art institution, urban renewal project, and public artwork located in a former communal laundry in Hökarängen, Stockholm. Founded in 2004, it has developed an internationally recognized program of exhibitions and events engaging with contemporary art while responding to local social and political contexts. The institution positions itself as a platform for experimental practices and critical discourse in Northern Europe and is working toward becoming a more equitable, inclusive, and value-driven institution.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Experience working with contemporary art and/or interdisciplinary artistic practices for a public audience
- Experience in exhibition production
- Degree in art curation, fine art, or equivalent professional experience in arts and culture sector
- Strong written and spoken English and/or Swedish skills
- Leadership and management experience preferred
- Experience with cultural administration, project management, and finance preferred
The Role
- Position: Artistic Director
- Location: Stockholm, Sweden
- Scope: 80–100% of full-time
- Contract: April 1, 2027–March 31, 2029
- Reports to: Managing Director Erik Annerborn
- Working languages: Swedish and/or English
