Overview
The 75th Annual Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival brings together artists and craftspeople for a celebration of the arts on the beautiful downtown streets of Fairhope, Alabama, along the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. The festival features southern hospitality with artist breakfast each morning and an artist dinner and awards reception.

Eligible Categories
- Fibers/Leather: 3D work, wearable and not-wearable, including baskets, clothing, embroidery, paper, quilts, weaving, leather goods, etc.
- Functional Crafts: Handmade crafts primarily intended for use, including musical instruments, brooms, implements, birdhouses, toys, belts, hats, etc. No commercial or mass-produced items.
- Graphics, Drawing & Watercolor: 2D work including pen, pencil, marker, pastel, printmaking, and watercolor.
- Jewelry: Handmade jewelry without commercial casts, molds, or kits. Only category allowed to display and sell jewelry.
- Mixed Media: Works combining two or more mediums.
- Painting: Oil, acrylics, and other brush-applied materials.
- Photography: Digital and film, hand emulsion transfers accepted. Original source material only. No AI-generated photography.
- Pottery/Ceramics: Earthenware, raku, porcelain, etc.
- Sculpture: 3D forms primarily in a single medium such as clay, metal, glass, wood, etc.
- Wood: Original 3D hand-tooled, machine-worked, built-up, turned, or carved work. No commercial or mass-produced items.
- Glass: 3D work created by the artist in glass. No molds or mass production permitted.
Application Requirements
Submit a minimum of 3 current quality images showing your work and booth to their fullest potential. Images must be representative of works to be shown at the festival. Do not send samples—they will not be presented during jury or returned. Applicants may optionally request the jury to place them based on image and process description.
Jury Process
Artists are selected by an independent jury panel based on submitted images. Judging criteria include quality and skill in workmanship, originality and creative ideas, and attractiveness of display. Artists with quality work may be accepted to a waitlist once a category is full.
