Overview
The Hotel Willa Artist-in-Residence Program, managed by The Paseo Project, invites artists across all disciplines to apply for a four-week residency in Taos, New Mexico. This is a self-directed residency offering a unique opportunity to live and create in the vibrant cultural landscape of Taos, surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Southwest. The program hosts one artist-in-residence at a time.
Residency Details
- Location: Hotel Willa, Taos, New Mexico
- Duration: 4 weeks
- Available months: February, March, April, July, August, October, November, and December 2027
- Housing: Private one-bedroom suite on-site with kitchenette, five minutes walk to Taos Plaza
- Studio: Private on-site studio with work surfaces, chair, easel, sink, desk lamp, rolling cart, and cutting mat
- Support: Bicycle provided for use; discounts at on-site restaurant
- No pets allowed
Eligibility
Open to artists, makers, writers, and creatives working in all disciplines who live or work in the Four Corners region or within a 300-mile radius of Taos, New Mexico. Not applicable for Taos County residents. No community engagement requirement; artists are encouraged to use the time for their own creative process.
