The Silent Cut is a juried exhibition seeking artwork that explores cinematic ideas within still images. Works should feel like scenes, cuts, or sequences—fragments of larger narratives that suggest a story without full resolution. Emphasis is on 2-dimensional photography, but all mediums are welcome.

Eligibility
Open to all artists currently residing in the United States at any stage of their career.
Media & size
- 2-dimensional work only
- All mediums accepted, with emphasis on photography
- Maximum size: 60 inches high × 60 inches wide
- Works must be framed with hanging materials (wire or D-rings)
- All works must be available for the entire exhibition run

Awards & sales
Selected works will be exhibited at Fort Works Art during the Lone Star Film Festival with an opening reception. All exhibited works must be listed for sale; the gallery retains 50% commission on any sales.
Shipping & delivery
Artists are responsible for all shipping costs, including return shipping. A pre-paid return label must be included. Full instructions will be provided upon acceptance. Artwork must arrive by 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2026; late deliveries cannot be accommodated.
