Overview
Drawing Rooms Solo Project Space #9 is an open call for exciting and compelling cohesive bodies of work or installations on any theme and of any size or media. One artist will be selected for the Project Space and up to four artists for additional solo gallery areas. Works will be featured for sale on Artsy.net, and selected artists will have preferred status for the end-of-year holiday exhibition, The Big Small Show.

- Opening reception: Friday, October 30, 2026, 6-8pm

Eligibility
Open to international artists. Artists eligible as applicants.
Media & Size
Any size and media accepted. 2-dimensional works (unframed, framed, or mounted on cradled panel) and 3-dimensional works will be considered. Acceptable media include painting or drawing on paper, canvas, or other media; collage or textiles, photography, prints, sculpture. Works must be original—no AI or reproductions.
Application Requirements
- Submit 1-15 images of your work
- Provide an artist statement describing your intention and motivation behind the body of work
- Installation artists must provide a detailed description of the installation, including materials and timeline in hours/days needed to install
- Maximum 3 submissions per artist
Hanging & Presentation
All works must be ready-to-hang and for sale. Unframed paper works must be durable enough to be exhibited with clips. Works cannot be ripped, torn, wrinkled, damaged, or overly fragile. Use simple frames in white, black, or wood tones; no floating acrylic frames. Works can be hung from picture wire (not fishing line), D-rings, saw-tooth hangers, or the top of the frame or cradled panel. Cleats or hanging systems requiring wall screws are not acceptable.
Sales & Commission
All works must be for sale. Artists receive 60% of sales; Drawing Rooms retains 40%.
