Overview
After the success of 'The Stolen Orange' exhibition, Bond Street Gallery Brighton is opening submissions for a curated group show, 'The Warp and the Weft'. This is a Sussex-based open call inviting artists and makers in any discipline to consider the structures, relationships, and processes that shape their creative practice. Up to 40 artists will be selected for a three-week exhibition with extensive social and local media coverage.

Eligibility
Sussex based artists of any media, any age, any professional qualification.
Media & theme
All media are welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, poetry, installation, moving image and other disciplines. Artists are invited to interpret the theme 'The Warp and the Weft' in their own way—considering what is given in their practice (the warp: memory, place, material, history, circumstance, identity, tradition) and what they choose to do with it (the weft: experimentation, imagination, resistance, transformation, play).
Submissions & fees
- Up to 3 submissions per artist
- Submission fees: £5 per artwork (one artwork £5; two artworks £10; three artworks £15)
- Additional hanging fee of £30 for selected artists
- Payment by debit or credit card after first submission is completed

Accessibility
Wheelchair access would be very difficult though not impossible. There is an exit at the back of the gallery which is more amenable to people with crutches.
How to submit
After submitting your first artwork, you will be directed to make a payment. If submitting more than one artwork, you will then be able to make further submissions by submitting additional forms up to the number of artworks you have paid for.
