Umpqua Valley Arts invites artists who use printmaking techniques as part of their art practice to submit to Printmaking NOW! (10 Years Later), a curated and juried exhibition highlighting local, regional, and national artists at any stage of their art career. This exhibition focuses on printmaking techniques and artists who explore ideas and various modes of printmaking, including (but not limited to) woodcuts, linocuts, screen printing, lithography, intaglio, and gel plates. Artists exploring the limits of printmaking techniques are also welcome to apply.

  • Submission Deadline: September 25, 2026 (closes at 11:59 PM Mountain Time / 10:59 PM Pacific Time)
  • Artists Notified: No later than October 30, 2026
  • Art Delivery to UVA: January 4, 2027
  • Opening Reception: January 8, 2027
  • Exhibit Ends: March 13, 2027
  • Artwork Pick-Up: March 15, 2027
  • Artwork Shipped Back: No later than April 2, 2027

Open to established, mid-career and emerging artists. Artwork must have been completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited at UVA.

Entries must be made using printmaking techniques, methods, and mediums including (but not limited to) woodcuts, linocuts, screenprinting, monoprinting, lithography, intaglio, and gel plates. Fine art photography prints or video of time-based art or performance art utilizing soft materials are eligible if accompanied by the sculpture used in the time-based piece or performance. Hanging sculptures must have hanging wire or D-Rings (at least 1/8" wide) attached to the back; sawtooth, French cleats, or similar hardware that will damage galleries or floors is not accepted.

  • Must not exceed 60" on the longest side
  • Must fit through a standard 3-foot wide door
  • Must weigh less than 50 lbs

All entries must be digitally submitted as JPEG files through Call for Entry. Submissions using slides, website links, physical photographs, paper applications, or resume/CV will not be accepted. Files must meet these specifications: JPEG format only, minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, up to 5 MB file size.

Accepted works are eligible for cash awards: First Place $300, Second Place $200, Third Place $100.
