About
Residency Details
A 3-month work period at U-jazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, surrounded by a park. The center hosts exhibitions, runs a cinema, library, and bookshop. Residencies combine art and research within a theme determined individually by each artist or curator.
Who Can Apply
Visual artists, curators, and art observers. Duos and collaborative partners must each submit separate applications but can live and work together in the same space. U-jazdowski is family-friendly and suitable for artists with young children.

Funding
- €7,717 subsidy for artists
- €5,716 for curators or art observers
- Covers travel expenses, material costs, and living costs
- Studio and living space paid directly by Mondriaan Fund
- 10% personal contribution required from resident
- Increased contribution available for artists based in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom to cover higher travel costs

Selection Process
Selection made by an advisory committee based on submitted documents. The committee proposes candidates to U-Jazdowski, which makes the final decision. An interview may be part of the selection process. Processing time may exceed three months.
