The Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt offers co-financing to help professional artists, free groups, and institutions based in Berlin meet matching-fund requirements for funding applications to other programs, including Creative Europe. The goal is to enable cultural professionals to access funding that requires proof of secured third-party funding.

Applicants must be professional artists, free groups, or institutions; have a primary residence or registered office in Berlin; and have projects not yet begun (earliest start: January 2027). Projects must be publicly presented in Berlin and may be multi-year.

  • Submission deadline: Monday, September 28, 2026, 14:00
  • Funding recommendations announced: approximately mid-November 2026
  • Earliest project start: January 2027

All artistic disciplines welcome.

Submit applications electronically in German using the main funder's application materials. If the main application is in English (e.g., Creative Europe), also submit a two-page German-language exposé. A jury representing all disciplines will review applications.

No further call is expected for projects beginning in 2027.
