A small-group residency exploring breath as a material and method for creative practice, led by artists Jayne Wilton and Sophie Richmond. Set at Saltercrease House, a remote Edwardian residence on the banks of the River Erme in Devon, this 3-night experience includes all meals and shared accommodation.

  • 23rd: Arrive late afternoon, shared meal, convivial and relaxed introductions
  • 24th: All-day workshop led by Jayne Wilton exploring breath as visual trace and source of inner vitality
  • 25th: All-day workshop led by Sophie Richmond redefining humanity as participant in shared biosphere
  • 26th: Leave by 9:30am

Artists of all disciplines are welcome to apply.

Shared twin accommodation with single beds; 2 people per room. All meals included.

Creative work happens around two big tables, in shared spaces, and outside on the banks of the estuary as part of the artist-led workshops. This is not a studio residency; the intention is to inspire new insights and ideas to take back to your own practice.
