Get matched →ON DURATION is a curated residency founded by Dr. Raegan Truax, designed for artists exploring duration as artistic method, material, and public praxis. Residents investigate time, endurance, body, and environment within Blanca's mountains, river valley, orchards, and semi-desert, developing research and practice alongside others working radically with time.
All fees include accommodation, workspace, documentation, mentoring with Dr. Raegan Truax, welcome dinner, ON DURATION programming, weekly exchange, feedback sessions, praxis labs, site walks, optional workshops, and participation in a multi-artist durational public event.
Residents work at Centro Negra with basic equipment and shared resources. Studio visits and mentoring with Dr. Raegan Truax are provided, along with guidance toward site-responsive practice and access to the AADK community and peer networks.
Residents are expected to self-structure their time, participate in weekly activities, contribute to peer exchange, and share work-in-progress in public activations.
