Overview

Bethany Arts Community (BAC) offers a two-week Fall Multidisciplinary Residency for emerging and established artists working across any discipline and medium, including visual artists, sculptors, writers, playwrights, choreographers, musicians, composers, performance artists, filmmakers, and more. The residency emphasizes generative collaboration and cross-pollination among artists from different disciplines and walks of life.

Residency Details

The Fall Multidisciplinary Residency runs September 22 – October 6, 2026, hosting 12 artists. Each resident receives a private studio conducive to their medium/project, room & board, 3 basic meals daily, and a $225 stipend per week upon completion. Artists are responsible for transportation to/from BAC and any supplies or materials needed for their practice.

Community Programming Requirement

As part of the residency, each artist must develop and facilitate a Community Program related to their residency plan. This provides an opportunity for artists to engage with the local community in Ossining and Westchester County.

Eligibility

Artists must be 21 years or older and able to stay for the entire two-week residency. Artist teams of up to 3 members are considered. Letters of recommendation and references must come from non-familial persons who can speak to your artistry, character, and integrity.

Application Requirements

One letter of recommendation and one reference (from different persons) are required. Letters of recommendation requests are sent at time of application submission, with an additional week provided to ensure completion.
