Get matched →La Porte Peinte is an international arts centre in Noyers sur Serein, a medieval village in Burgundy, France. Located in a rambling medieval half-timbered building overlooking the village square, it offers artists, makers, musicians, and writers the opportunity for creative exploration and exchange. The facility includes eight private studio spaces, four comfortable bedrooms on campus plus five more in a nearby annex, workshop spaces, event spaces, a ground-floor gallery, café, and shop.
Open to artists based anywhere in the world; any career stage (emerging, mid-career, established). Spouses/partners allowed for full stay (non-collaborators); children allowed for full stay. Collaborative groups and partnerships welcome.

Each year La Porte Peinte aims to offer several fully funded and partially funded residencies to individuals who would otherwise not be able to participate. La Porte Peinte USA, a non-profit branch, focuses on artists affected by war, natural disasters, economic hardship, or discrimination, and actively seeks out such artists to provide support through residencies, masterclasses, collaborations, or exhibitions.
Eight private studios, workshop spaces, event spaces for classes and performances, exhibition/installation space, performance/presentation facilities, painting workspace (oil), easels, darkroom (black and white). Housing is partially accessible (50% or more).
