Europe + Heritage Programme

Overview

The Europe + Heritage Programme offers advice, a Travel Scheme, and a General Support Scheme for European heritage cooperation. Heritage can be tangible (cultural landscapes, archaeological sites, museums, monuments, collections) or intangible (practices, representations, expressions, knowledge and skills of communities). DutchCulture supports international heritage cooperation between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Europe by identifying trends, collaborating with partners, and facilitating expert meetings and exchanges.

Who Can Apply

Heritage professionals and heritage organisations based in the Kingdom of the Netherlands (the Netherlands, Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten) who wish to visit a European partner, invite a European partner, or set up cooperation with a European partner.

Travel Scheme (Reiskostenregeling)

DutchCulture provides vouchers of €350–€1,000 (based on applicant location and transportation) to facilitate establishing contact and cooperation. The scheme is open to heritage professionals and institutions, including paid and unpaid staff members. Institutions can invite European heritage professionals to visit the Kingdom of the Netherlands for meetings, events, or knowledge exchange.

General Support Scheme (Ondersteuningsregeling)

Offers financial support up to €5,000 to promote contact with the European heritage sector and knowledge exchange between the Netherlands and Europe.

Eligible Countries

Both schemes apply to: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark (including the Faroe Islands and Greenland), Estonia, Finland, France (including overseas territories), Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Ukraine, Poland, Portugal (including the Azores and Madeira), Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain (including the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands), Turkey, United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland.

Deadlines

• Travel Scheme: Applications must be submitted at least four weeks before departure; rolling deadline until budget is depleted.
• General Support Scheme: Applications must be submitted at least six weeks before project start; rolling deadline until budget is depleted.
