About
Overview
TaDA – Textile and Design Alliance is a cultural funding program launched in 2020 by the cantons of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, St.Gallen, and Thurgau, now organized as an association since April 2026. It enables experimental and innovative engagement with Swiss textile and design culture in collaboration with textile companies and cultural organizations across eastern Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
The Residency
The program annually offers six residencies to national and international artists. Residents develop projects in art, design, architecture, literature, performance art, or transdisciplinary contexts. Textile companies and institutions provide their expertise and technology as program partners, enabling practical-artistic work and applied research. Work results are presented to the public at various events.
