The City of Aurora seeks Colorado artists, artist groups, and independent curators with completed, hang-ready artwork for exhibitions at the Aurora Municipal Center during the 2027 exhibition season. The second-floor exhibition area includes long walls and display cases, with space for up to 40 artworks depending on size. Work must be durable, suitable for interior display, and compatible with a hanging wire system.

  • August 21, 2026: Applications open
  • September 21, 2026, 11:59 PM MDT: Application deadline
  • Week of September 25, 2026: Finalists notified
  • Week of October 6, 2026: Multi-level approval completed
  • April–June or July–September 2027: Preferred exhibition periods

Open to Colorado residents. Artists with connections to Aurora are encouraged to apply.

  • Statement of interest and brief bio
  • Preferred exhibition slots
  • Conceptual proposals, renderings, and AI-generated images will not be reviewed
