Overview

Braddock District Supervisor Rachna Sizemore Heizer, in partnership with the Braddock District Arts Advisory Council and ArtsFairfax, invites emerging and established visual artists from across Braddock District to submit work exploring "What does joy look like?" in this intergenerational art contest.

Key Dates

  • Submission period: September 7 – October 5, 2026
  • Celebration event: Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 6:30 PM
  • Exhibition: November 9, 2026 – January 2, 2027

Age Categories

  • Youth Division: Ages 11-14
  • Teen Division: Ages 15-18
  • Adult Division: Age 19+
  • Senior Division: Age 55+

Awards

  • Top three artists in each category will be celebrated at the annual Best of Braddock event
  • Winning artwork will be displayed at the Braddock District Supervisor's Office
