About

Overview

Oglebay Institute's Annual Holiday Show & Sale is a six-week juried exhibition and holiday shopping event featuring fine art and crafts from regional artists. Once accepted, your display is set up and all sales are handled by OI staff—you do not need to be present. The show runs at two locations: the historic Stifel Fine Arts Center on the National Road in Wheeling, and the Schrader Environmental Education Center in Oglebay Park.

Eligibility

Open to all artists 18 and older who exhibit and sell work of original concept and design with all work handmade. No manufacturer representatives accepted. Gourmet food applicants must be the company owner or principal producer of specialty food products not widely commercially available.

Apply online at callforentry.org. Submissions must include at least 5 images of work you plan to sell and 2 images of your proposed exhibit arrangement. Application fee is $30.00.

$65.00 for 4ft space
$75.00 for 5ft space (Stifel Fine Art Center only)
$85.00 for 6ft freestanding (no wall space)
$85.00 for 6ft space
$105.00 for 8ft space
Payment in full due upon acceptance; no refunds for cancellation after October 16, 2025

Setup & display requirements

You must provide your own tools, shelves, tables, and setup for your exhibit space. Space will be lighted but no other electricity is available. Each accepted artist receives an exhibit space number that must appear on all price tags. Before setup, provide an inventory list of all work and prices for our point of sale system. Each item must have a price tag including: exhibit space number, title or name, artist's name, and price.

Sales & commission

Oglebay Institute will retain a 15% commission on all sales. Price your work accordingly.
