Bus Trip to The Met Chenango Arts Council wants to take you to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City! Saturday, September 26, 2026, we will depart from our Parking lot at 7 am. Upon arriving, at 11am, guests will be able to tour the museum at their leisure until 5pm! In addition to art from all cultures and historical periods, The Met has several temporary exhibits, as well as many dining options! We expect to arrive back in Norwich, NY at approximately 10pm. $140 covers museum admission and the round bus trip. The bus is equipped with a bathroom and food is permitted. Collapse and Covergence Joseph Christiana will be the next artist in the Mariea Brown and Raymond Loft Galleries! This stirring exhibit was created with encaustic wax and explores contradictory states of being and human physicality through the lens of mythology. See it September 19 from 2-4 at the opening reception of Collapse and Convergence. Live music will be performed by George Anderson thanks to Preferred Mutual. Wine and refreshments will be provided. Free and open to the public Sculp Your Own Witch with Linda Kays Biviano Halloween Witch Sculpting Class Come create your own one-of-a-kind Halloween Witch! In this 4-week sculpting class, I will guide you step-by-step through creating a full character witch from start to finish. You’ll learn how I build and sculpt a character, develop facial features and personality, create the body and hands, and finish your witch with clothing, hair, accessories, and all those wonderful little details that bring a character to life. No two witches will be alike! You can make yours spooky, wicked, whimsical, old and weathered, or give her an entirely different personality of your own. Tuesday Class — 6:00–8:30 PM September 15, 22 & 29 October 6 Wednesday Class — 6:00–8:30 PM September 16, 23 & 30 October 7 Students attend either the Tuesday series or the Wednesday series. Four class sessions — just in time for Halloween! Students attend either the Tuesday series or the Wednesday series. This class is suitable for students who want to learn character sculpting techniques in a relaxed, creative setting.
