About
Overview
Atlasarts is a three-month research and creative residency program for Moroccan artists, running from January 5 to March 26, 2027. The program aims to encourage and facilitate international mobility and expand artists' professional and artistic networks. Eight artists will be selected.
What residents receive
- Individual furnished studio-apartment (20–35 m²) in the Marais at Cité internationale des arts, with work space, kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area
- Living stipend of 1,000 EUR net per month for the duration of the residency
- Mentoring, networking events, and access to the international artist community
- Access to Cité internationale des arts community life

Eligibility
- Moroccan nationality required
- Professional artistic practice for at least 3 years, or a degree from an arts training institution
- Work in one of these fields: visual arts, digital arts, cinema, performing arts (music, performance, dramaturgy, theater, dance, choreography), or writing
- Able to take full leave from all professional activities for the entire residency
- Basic French and/or sufficient English proficiency to integrate with Cité residents and participate in exchanges
Application requirements
- Detailed CV (maximum 4 pages)
- Artistic portfolio with visuals of works, complete captions, and links to or files of representative video or audio (mp3, mp4, avi formats)—maximum 15 pages
- Intention letter (maximum 3 pages) explaining your motivation, interest in the program, and why your current artistic work requires a Paris residency at Cité internationale des arts
- Administrative documents: copy of national ID, passport, and artist card (optional)
Studio-apartment specifications
Studio-apartments range from 20 to 35 m² and combine research-creation with daily living. Each includes a work area, kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping space. Please note: current studio-apartments do not meet current accessibility standards for people with disabilities, though this is being addressed. Contact the organizer with accessibility questions.
Results announcement
The list of selected residents will be published on the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication website, the Institut français du Maroc website, and the Cité internationale des arts website.
