Overview
Galeria 5a ao sul, an international online contemporary art gallery, invites artists to submit works for the inaugural digital exhibition "The Self as Interface," exploring how identity and subjectivity are mediated through screens and code. Selected artists will be featured in an immersive 3D virtual exhibition, included in an official catalogue published with an international ISBN via Amazon Publishing, and promoted on the curator's Instagram account.
The Concept
In an era shaped by ubiquitous computing and algorithmic mediation, the boundaries of subjectivity have shifted. The exhibition seeks artworks that critically engage with how identity, memory, and intimacy are translated into digital environments, challenging traditional boundaries through hybrid languages and transmedia narratives.

About the Curator
Selma Eduarda Pereira is an artist, researcher, curator, and university lecturer with a Ph.D. in Digital Media Art. Her work explores digital media articulated with textile processes and post-digital aesthetics. She has exhibited internationally and curated projects for The Wrong Biennale (2020, 2023, 2025).
