About
Overview
A juried exhibit dedicated to the presentation of functional ceramics, focusing on the fine art of dining, to include serving vessels, place settings, platters, and dinner table décor. Proceeds from the sale of work and associated events will benefit the Art Students League of Denver and its ceramics program.
Eligibility
Open to U.S. artists. Works must be made majorly out of ceramic materials (roughly 75%, at the discretion of ASLD), completed by the artist within the past three years, and not previously shown at delecTABLE. Drug paraphernalia will not be considered.
Media & Size
- Each piece or set may not exceed 30 inches in any dimension or 20 pounds in weight
- No more than two place settings accepted as part of one submission
- Works must be innovative, original in design, and a personal expression of the artist's intent
Submission Requirements
- Submit up to 3 digital images and 3 detail shots of functional ceramic pieces
- Images may be used for publicity purposes if high resolution
- Work submitted must be the actual work displayed during the exhibit
- Accepted work with poor craftsmanship (glaze flaws, cracks) or not representative of digital entries will be withdrawn

- August 10, 2026: Application process opens via CAFÉ
- October 9, 2026: Application deadline at 11:59 PM MTN TIME; payment due at time of application
- October 12-16, 2026: Juror Matt Kelleher reviews images online; selection process takes place
- November 1, 2026: Artist notification begins
- January 25-29, 2027: Accepted work due at ASLD Gallery, 200 Grant Street, Denver, CO
- February 18, 2027, 6-7:30 PM: Artist talk by juror Matt Kelleher
- February 19, 2027, 5:30-8:00 PM: Opening Reception and Artists' Reception; award announcements
- February 19 - April 9, 2027: Exhibition on view and open to the public; all work for sale
- February 20-21, 2027, 9 AM-4 PM: Workshop by Matt Kelleher at ASLD Ceramic Studio
- April 5-16, 2027: Shipment and pickup of unsold work begins
Fees & Sales
Nonrefundable entry fee of $35 for up to 3 pieces. All ceramic work entered must be for sale. The artist receives 60% of the sale price; ASLD retains 40% commission. Sale proceeds paid to the artist within 30 days of the end of the exhibition.
Shipping & Insurance
Artist is responsible for freight and insurance to and from ASLD. ASLD is responsible for insurance during the exhibition. When shipping, include a prepaid UPS or FedEx return shipping label in the box. If no return label is enclosed, ASLD will hold work until receiving the prepaid shipping label. Local artists may hand-deliver and pick up accepted work. Pieces not sold during exhibit will be returned in original packaging.
