The Greater Columbus Arts Council was officially incorporated as a nonprofit in 1973. Today, hundreds of arts organizations and individual artists share millions of dollars in city and county support through grants for professional artists and operating and project support for organizations.
2025 Achievements
- Awarded $12,637,222 to 22 Operating Support organizations
- Awarded $883,626 in General Support to 18 organizations
- Awarded $1,240,490 in Project Support to 74 organizations
- Offered $560,000 in special one-time Capacity Building grants to 50 organizations
- Managed legal assistance for artists and conducted 49 workshops reaching nearly 2,000 people
- 63rd Columbus Arts Festival featured 231 exhibiting artists who sold an estimated $2.5 million in artwork
- Awarded $164,000 in awards to individuals, including $120,000 in Artists Elevated awards
- Awarded $135,000 through the Columbus Motion Picture Incentive to four projects
