About
Overview
The Dorothy Antoinette LaSelle Foundation has established the Dorothy Antoinette LaSelle Travel Fellowship recognizing the impact that travel can have on an artist's career. In fall 2026, two awards of $5,000 each will be distributed to visual artists working and residing in Texas, enabling recipients to complete a research trip to further their artistic practice.

Eligibility
- Must currently reside in Texas and have lived there for the past year
- Be a practicing professional visual artist with at least 3 solo or group exhibitions in the past 3 years (BFA/MFA and juried exhibitions are eligible)
- Must currently hold a degree in the arts
Application Materials
- Image thumbnails of a maximum of 4 works with identifying title, date, medium, and dimensions
- Artist CV
- Reference contact list with 2 reference names, email addresses/phone numbers and relationship to the artist
- Project proposal (2000 characters or less) including: statement on why the fellowship would be important to you and your practice, statement about your goals for the travel fellowship, and when the proposed travel would take place
- Copy of valid Texas driver's license or proof of one year Texas residency
Award Details
Two $5,000 awards will be distributed. There is no application fee.
