About
Overview
Craigardan seeks early-career individuals with strong interest in ceramic arts, culinary arts, and/or farming for resident internship positions. Resident Interns (RIs) are integral members of the community serving as both artists/farmers-in-residence and interns on staff. This is an excellent opportunity for emerging artists and aspiring agriculturalists to receive a free residency experience while gaining skills in a supportive, experiential learning environment.

What You'll Receive
Each participant receives a full fellowship ($2,300 weekly value) including mentorship, hands-on learning, housing, a farm share, free access to all programs, and studio access.
Responsibilities
- 30 hours per week on the community farm and/or in the studio
- Rotating chore responsibilities on the Community Farm and in the Farmhouse
- 10 additional hours per week on individual projects
- Attendance at all lectures and special programs
- Total commitment: 40 hours per week
Facilities & Support
- Ceramics workspace with electric wheels, kick wheels, slab roller, clay mixers, plaster room
- Electric kiln and gas kiln
- Private housing on campus (individual apartment/cabin/house)
- Some meals provided; groceries provided for residents to prepare their own meals in shared kitchen
- Partial accessibility (50% or more)
Eligibility & Expectations
Open to artists, farmers, and scholars at any stage of career based anywhere in the world. Craigardan values equality and justice and highly encourages applications from people of color, indigenous, women, and LGBTQIA+ artists and scholars. May apply as a team. Pets are not allowed.
