Overview
Global Gastronomy Museum is dedicated to exploring food as a cultural language that connects people, places, histories and communities. The Museum is scheduled to officially open in October 2026 and is seeking international artists for its inaugural residency programme. The inaugural season, 'The Migration of Flavors on the Silk Road,' explores the movement of ingredients, people, traditions and cultural identities across the Silk Road.
About the Residency
During the one-month residency in Shanghai, residents will develop new artistic projects in collaboration with the curatorial team, local communities, chefs, artisans and international partners. The residency culminates in public outcomes such as exhibitions, installations, workshops, performances, artist talks or participatory programmes.
