Overview

The Fletcher Jones Family Foundations funded Artist Residency in Australia welcomes National and International Arts Practitioners to a four-week residency in Warrnambool, Victoria. The program covers accommodation and a weekly living allowance, with opportunities to engage with the local arts community and build connections with fellow artists, volunteers, and supporters. The residency is shared among three artists who may wish to collaborate.

Duration & Accommodation

• Four weeks in duration
• Private bedroom in shared household with kitchen, dining room, loungeroom, and 3 bathrooms
• Available for 3 artists, plus partners

Disciplines

The residency caters to Visual Arts, Printmaking, Sculpture, Painting, Drawing, and Writing. Other media and practices may be facilitated upon request.

Studio & Facilities

Studio spaces, workshops, and galleries may be available and applied for as needed. Spaces are generally shared, though private space may be available. On-site workshops, teachers, and mentors are available.

What's Covered & What's Not

The residency grant covers four weeks of accommodation and a weekly allowance towards living costs. Travel to and from Warrnambool and associated costs are the responsibility of the artist.

Expectations

Selected artists are expected to engage with the community in some way, such as through a floor talk, workshop, exhibition, performance, or gifting of a work. Each artist must also submit a short reflection on their residency experiences.
