About
Overview
The Kunstbüro Mentoring program facilitates intensive and long-term 1:1 exchange between established art producers and early-career artists. The eighteen month-long programme provides support for artists with a connection to Baden-Württemberg, especially in the years following their graduation from an art academy. The goal is to share know-how and experience with a new generation, encouraging development as artists, professionalisation, and positioning in the art field.
What Mentees Receive
Mentors monitor first steps in professional careers, establish contacts, and provide skilled advice regarding positioning work, funding opportunities and applications, and building a professional environment. Mentees are interconnected as a group and regularly meet for studio visits, exhibition visits, and peer exchange on topics including grant applications, funding, studio situations, exhibitions, fair pay, and care work in the art world.
