Overview
The Life in My City Art Festival (LIMCAF) announces the 18th edition of its art competition, Nigeria's leading platform for contemporary art and young artist empowerment. The festival features over 60 million naira in prizes across multiple categories including LIMCAF Prizes, Endowed Prizes, El Anatsui International Travel Prizes, Capacity and Expertise Development Prizes, and Consolation Prizes.
Theme
'Can We Breathe?' calls for profound artistic reflections on contemporary challenges including environmental crises, societal constraints, and global inequality, inspiring artists to explore the urgent need for freedom and sustainable solutions through their work.
Eligibility
- Open to Nigerian artists and foreigners continuously resident in Nigeria for minimum 5 years
- Age 35 or younger as of October 25, 2025
- Equal participation opportunities for male and female artists
- Special prize offerings for females and persons living with disability
