About Bagby Park

Located at the bustling corner of Gray and Bagby Streets, Bagby Park is a 30,000 square foot community gathering space in Midtown Houston. Since its opening in 2003, the park features lush, shaded lawns surrounded by Mexican sycamores and Shumard red oaks, upgraded amenities including enhanced restrooms, improved drainage, and additional perimeter lighting. The park also has a new canopy and extra lighting for the stage, making it a prime venue for outdoor performances and community events.

Bagby Park is open daily from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM. The park is easily accessible for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists, with metered parking along Brazos, Gray, and Bagby Streets, and two nearby parking garages.

Park Rentals

Bagby Park provides rental options for various spaces, including the stage and lawn areas, perfect for private gatherings, corporate events, or community functions.

Attire Requirements

Bagby Park is designed for a family-friendly environment. Inappropriate clothing includes obscene language or graphics, swimwear without proper cover-up, visible undergarments, or clothing that exposes excessive portions of the body.

Dog Park Rules

Dogs must be at least four months old and current on vaccinations. A maximum of two dogs per person is allowed. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Dogs must remain leashed when entering and exiting, and guardians must carry a leash for each dog while inside. Aggressive dogs and dogs in heat are not permitted. Unleashed dogs must be spayed or neutered. Guardians must clean up after their dogs and minimize excessive barking.

Fires & Grilling

Grilling, open flames, charcoal, and propane use are prohibited within the park.

Lawn Rules

• Cleated shoes prohibited without prior approval
• Golfing or chipping prohibited without prior approval
• Staking, drilling, digging, or hammering into the ground prohibited without prior approval
• Riding bicycles or skateboards prohibited without prior approval
