Odapark offers a 3-month residency to visual artists living in the Netherlands as part of the Borderland Residencies, a Euregional network of art institutions. The residency is located in Venray, North Limburg, a region exploring alternative proposals for landscape and land use. The program includes working and living space, accommodation, transport, and participation in a broader Borderland Residencies program with field trips, curator meetings, and studio visits across the Dutch-German border region.

Multidisciplinary visual artists living in the Netherlands whose practice relates to space, time, and environment. No medium restrictions, but practice must align with the programme. Artist duos and collaborative partnerships are welcome; each person must submit a separate application, and duos must provide a joint plan resulting in a single outcome.

  • 1 September – 30 November 2027

The Mondriaan Fund provides €2,402 monthly (€7,206 total for 3 months) to help cover travel expenses, material costs, and living costs. Selected residents must contribute 10% of their own funds (automatically deducted from the subsidy). For duos or collaborative partnerships, the total amount increases proportionally. Artists from the Caribbean part of the Kingdom may receive increased contributions to cover higher travel costs.

Thursday 27 August 2026, before 16:00 (Dutch time zone) / 10:00 (Caribbean time zone).

An advisory committee reviews submitted documents and proposes candidates to Borderland Residencies, which makes the final decision. An interview may be part of the selection process. Processing time may exceed three months.

Applicants must review the Residency page for full terms and conditions, application procedure, assessment criteria, and the Mondriaan Fund contribution terms before applying. The working language is English.
