Virtual Art Lab 12 weeks program ALL MEDIA

Overview

Virtual Art Lab is an experimental online program designed to support artists in expanding their practice through new knowledge, tools, and perspectives. It functions as a hybrid format—part seminar and part workshop—creating a space where artists can critically reflect on and reshape their processes. The program supports not only production but also curatorial thinking, writing, interviews, and documentation.

Program Format

Participants engage in a one-on-one format with a dedicated artist-mentor through weekly one-hour sessions via Zoom or Google Meet. The personalized approach allows for in-depth dialogue, tailored guidance, and a process that evolves according to each artist's needs, interests, and pace. The program is not full-time; artists have time to continue their own work.

Eligibility

Open to artists and creatives from visual arts, music, theater, dance, film, writing, design, photography, digital/interactive art, games, fashion, architecture, and curatorial practice. The program is designed for artists at a turning point in their practice—whether feeling stuck, seeking new directions, or looking to experiment with unfamiliar media, including AI possibilities.

Fees

• Entry fee: €675

Application Requirements

Submit your CV, resume, and portfolio (links accepted). There is no application deadline posted separately; rolling admissions apply. Selected artists will be notified via email.

Expectations

• Commit to the program as you would to an in-person residency
• Submit work-in-progress material for social media documentation
• Participate in an artist interview
• No hate speech or discriminatory content will be tolerated

Program Communication

Communication occurs through digital tools including Zoom and Google Meet for sharing work and feedback. English language collaboration is preferred, as the program is conducted in English; however, accommodations may be discussed if needed. You will need a phone or computer and internet connection.

Exhibition & Feedback

At the end of the 12 weeks, an online screening and discussion of created works will be organized. The program advisor will moderate and provide feedback on the works.
