About
Overview
Bow Arts' Nunnery Gallery shop offers artists the opportunity to promote and sell work to a wider audience. Bow Arts facilitates Own Art, a national initiative providing interest-free loans (£100–£2,500) to help buyers purchase original artwork and craft.
Who can participate
Studio holders, artist educators, and exhibiting artists only.
What you can sell
A wide range of products including books, pottery, workshop vouchers, clothing, homeware, prints, and more. Pitches are considered throughout the year on a rolling, case-by-case basis, though shop refits typically align with the end of exhibition runs (3–4 times per year).
How to pitch
Email [email protected] with details of what you want to sell, dimensions, pricing, and whether you'd prefer to stock in the physical shop or online platform. You can also fill in the product pitch form.
Commission and payments
Bow Arts takes 20% commission on all sales (on top of VAT) for promotion, admin, and selling. Products are stocked on a sale-or-return basis. After each exhibition run, you receive a purchase order accounting for all sales, and you send an invoice for payment.
Own Art sales
Bow Arts processes Own Art loans on behalf of studio artists, flat holders, and artist educators. The Nunnery Gallery takes a 15% commission towards the admin cost of Own Art sales. You can take a deposit from the buyer to secure the artwork; the remaining amount becomes the Own Art loan.
