Overview
White Buffalo Land Trust's Artist-in-Residence Program invites artists across all mediums to deepen the cultural dimension of regenerative agriculture. Based at Jalama Canyon Ranch—a 1,000-acre living laboratory on California's Central Coast—artists will develop original, place-based work while engaging directly with land as collaborator, teacher, and medium.
Program Dates & Length

- Duration: Minimum 6 weeks, flexible options up to 3 months
What You'll Do
- Develop original, place-based work
- Observe and interpret ecological systems
- Engage with regenerative agricultural practices
- Collaborate with land stewards and community
- Lead one community-facing experience
- Offer one educational or participatory experience
What We Provide
- On-site private housing (individual apartment/cabin/house)
